IN TWEETS: Gauteng online learner placement period to commence in October

JOBURG – Offers of placement will be issued from 1 October 2020. Parents have seven days to accept the offers.

The Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi informs parents that the Online 2021 Admissions Placement Period for Grade 1 and 8 will commence on Thursday, 1 October 2020.

The process is scheduled to end on Monday, 30 November 2020. The online admissions period for Grade 1 and 8 applications commenced on 25 June and will end 30 November.

The online admissions period constitutes the following phases:

Application Phase (25 June 2020 to 25 July 2020): Parents apply for admission to schools and upload or submit documents to schools within seven days of making the application.

In addition, Head Office randomly selects 10% of schools to verify the accuracy of Placement Lists
•Placement Phase (1 October 2020 – 30 November 2020). Offers of placement will be issued from 1 October 2020. Parents have 7 days to accept the offers.
