The Pro Africa Group empowers women

The Pro Africa Group is seeking to empower young women in various skills to equip them for the digital era economy.

The Pro Africa Group is inviting young women between the ages of 18 to 35 years to participate in the upcoming 1000 Women Project which will run in the month of November.

The 1000 Women Project is an initiative that focuses on the development and empowerment of young women through real life activities, and presentations by talented and successful individuals.
On different weeks, the project will focus on leadership, entrepreneurship, education and social cohesion with the aim to enhance communication skills, confidence and attitude, goals and actions and personality development.

The initiative also aims to achieve the following:

  • Create a platform for interaction and growth for young women
  • Create entrepreneurial opportunities
  • Refer young women for work opportunities.

Co-founder of the Pro Africa Group which runs the project, Sakhile Shabangu, said the series was strictly open to young women from the specified age groups who would be able to commit to attending all sessions and complete all the activities. The project only has limited spots to be filled.

The Pro Africa Group was formerly known as Creative Minds Movement which was founded more than 10 years ago by Alex youngsters, Shabangu and Levy Ledwaba.
