Alexandra Police Station are investigating an reported attempted murder in Far East Bank Ext 10.
The complainant told police that around 11pm on 21 August, on his way to lock the gate in the driveway, he saw a Red VW Polo stop in front of his gate. He added that one male suspect got out of the car and allegedly started shooting. Alexandra Police Station spokesperson, Sergeant Simphiwe Mbatha said, “The complainant was with three women in the driveway when the suspect shot in their direction three times and fled the scene.
“After some few minutes, he [the complainant] went out to check and he observed that his motor vehicle was shot on the windscreen and he also found one projectile inside the vehicle.”
According to the police, the witnesses saw the suspect and will be able to identify him if they see him again. The case is still under investigation.
