Police are investigating a robbery with a firearm that occurred on 1 August at about 8.45pm on the corner of 5th Avenue and Josias Madzunya (previously Rooth) Street in Alexandra.
According to Alexandra Police Station spokesperson, Sergeant Simphiwe Mbatha, the complainant said that, while driving his blue Hyundai, he was blocked by a white Toyota Quantum. “[According to the complainant], two suspects got off the Quantum, then one suspect pointed a firearm at him while the other one searched him and took a few items including a Huawei P30 cell phone valued at R5 500 and R600 cash,” explained Mbatha.
The police are still searching for the suspects.
