Female Alexandrians who are between 18 and 35 years of age are invited to apply for programme which will empower them through a range of skills.
The initiative which is coordinated by NPO Pro Africa Group, formerly Creative Minds Movement will be conducted in June. Interested are urged to start applying in the last week of this month. The group’s Sakhile Shabangu said the initiative called, 1000 Women’s Project, focuses on developing and empowering participants through real life activities and presentations by talented and successful individuals. “The training for several weeks, will focus on leadership, entrepreneurship, education and social cohesion to enhance participants’ communication skills, confidence and positive attitude, goal setting and action, and personality development,” Shabangu said. Also, they will use the platform to interact and growth, be exposed to entrepreneurial opportunities and to refer them to work opportunities.
