Sasol invites Alex applicants

ALEXANDRA – Alex invited to improve world of science through Sasol.


International petrochemical company Sasol invites undergraduate and post-graduate candidates in the engineering and science fields to apply for its bursaries.

“We urge students to consider studying through us, science, technology, engineering and mathematics (Stem)) subjects. Sasol said this in a statement on its all-inclusive bursaries which cover tuition fees, accommodation, meals, textbooks, laptops, calculators and pocket money. Stem subjects provide a career path the company said, contributes to the growth and development of businesses, new products and the country’s economy. “The Stem skills are scarce and in increased demand in the country,” the statement read quoting the New York Academy of Sciences which states that, ‘sub-Saharan Africa requires 2.5 million more engineers to address the continent’s gravest development problems’. In addition, qualifications and professions in Stem subjects will make it easier for bursary recipients to find a job and a rewarding career.”
