ALEXANDRA – Sasol partnered with Alex FM to donate 150 school bags to Zenzeleni Primary as part of the Sasol for Good initiative.

A total of 150 learners from poor families received brand-new school bags filled with stationery when Sasol, in partnership with a community radio station, Alex FM and Mrs Common Wealth SA, Fortunate Twala recently visited Zenzeleni Primary School.

Matebelo Motloung, media relations manager for Sasol Group said they partnered with Alex FM to donate 150 school bags to the school as part of the Sasol for Good initiative to give back to the community. “As a company that is passionate about investing in education and empowering communities, we partnered with Alex FM to donate 150 school bags and stationery to learners from less fortunate families. We also understand as a company that, stationery is not a once-off thing but daily need. We are also grateful that the company chose our school among the many schools we have in Alexandra. We hope to see them coming back again next time because we have many children in need of help like this one,” Mashaba said.

Mrs Common Wealth SA 2019/20, Fortunate Twala said she was honoured to be invited to take part in the initiative aimed at transforming lives. “Sasol for Good initiative is an epitome of community empowerment and it was an honour to be part of it as someone who works with the Alex community in different projects.
