In the 2018/19 financial year, that number has decreased significantly. We have seen only 30 water-related incidents. “The results from laboratories have revealed that water from the Jukskei River and other rivers around the city contain very dangerous chemicals which are not good for human consumption. We urge all of you to spread the message to warn your family members and friends to refrain from using water from these rivers. You must also help us spread the message of safety to those residing on the river banks to be always vigilant during wet seasons.”
