Help police find these missing men

SANDRINGHAM – Police are appealing to members of the public to help them find two missing people.


The Sandringham police have appealed to members of the public to help find two elderly men who recently went missing.

Mbazima George Mashila (68) was last seen on Thursday, 12 September at Radebe Lane in River Park. At the time, he was wearing a black, long-sleeved T-shirt, long, black trousers and white water sandals. According to police reports, Mashila has one front tooth missing.

Sandringham Police Station spokesperson Captain Mohlaume Mamabolo said that members of the public who have information regarding Mashila’s whereabouts can contact investigating officer Detective Warrant Officer Phuti Manaka on 072 463 0854 or Sandringham Police Station Client Service Centre.

In another separate incident, a 66-year-old man, Mokgethisi Patrick Mosegedi, was last seen on Saturday, 31 August at 12.30pm. According to the police report, Mosegedi left his home at Queen Alexandra Road in Lombardy East to attend a funeral in Soweto and never returned. He was last seen wearing a black suit. “He had a growth on both cheeks. [If anyone has] any information regarding the missing person, contact investigating officer Detective Warrant officer Phuti Manaka on 072 463 0854 or Sandringham SAPS Client Service Centre.”
