Men’s health issues discussed at River Park Clinic

RIVER PARK – The clinic will service everyone, not only men, in Riverpark and nearby areas.

Men facing health challenges around River Park Clinic now have an opportunity to be treated close by.

Various speakers addressed attendees, including senior City officials, at the launch of the new men’s clinic at the River Park Clinic on 30 August. Anova’s Health4Men project and Johannesburg District Region E partnered together for the launch of the clinic which will provide critically important men’s health services.

According to David Morelle, a master trainer at Nova Health Institute – a company that sponsored the launch of the new men’s health facility – this is a milestone towards addressing men’s health issues.

He said that it’s high time men know their status and they hope men in the area will utilize the services the new clinic provides.

“Let’s make men’s health fashionable and ensure that these facilities are accessible for them to be able to utilise the services that this clinic will offer to them,” Morelle said.

“Men are very particular, but we need to make sure that this clinic is meant to help them deal with their health conditions.”

City of Johannesburg MMC for Health and Social Development Dr. Mpho Phalatse said, as the City, they will make sure that more male nurses are employed to enable men to be comfortable when they visit this clinic.
