City of Joburg encourages people to take part in A Re Sebetseng

JOHANNESBURG – City of Johannesburg urges community members to participate in the clean-up campaign.

The City of Johannesburg is calling on community members of Region E to take part in the A Re Sebetseng campaign on 17 August.

“The campaign will run between 16 to 18 August, and will see the Executive Mayor of the City of Johannesburg, Cllr Herman Mashaba join the Regional Director for Region E, Liziwe Ntshinga-Makoro, City officials and employees, and residents for various clean-up activities in Ward 105,” said City of Johannesburg in a statement.

A Re Sebetseng is a clean-up campaign which encourages all Johannesburg residents to take ownership of their environment by helping to create cleaner and more connected communities.

“Mayor Mashaba’s consistent plea is for communities to take responsibility for their surroundings and ensure that the highest standards of environmental health are upheld.”
