Alex FM mourns the passing of another news anchor

ALEXANDRA – The station manager said the details of the funeral and memorial service of Ndzipo will be announced in due course.

The local radio station Alex FM has suffered another loss after the 28-year-old English news anchor at the station Busisiwe Ndzipo passed away on 16 July after a short illness.

The station manager Takalane Nemangowe said, “The devastating news reached us while we were still mourning the deaths of two colleagues who passed on earlier this year.”

Earlier this year, Gezani Chauke, who was a Tsonga news anchor and Philani Nkala, a Zulu news anchor also passed away.

Nemangowe said Ndzipo joined the station last year as a volunteer to gain exposure to the journalism and media industry. “She was a hard worker and a role model to most of us at the station, at all times she made sure that she delivered to the best of her ability and she had a promising future ahead of her.

“Busisiwe was part of the Alex FM staff members who are currently studying at Boston Media House through the partnership the station has with Boston College. We will miss her dearly,” Nemangowe said.

Nemangowe said the details of the funeral and memorial service for Busisiwe Ndzipo will be announced in due course.
