The City’s MMC for Finance Funzela Ngobeni has announced that PikitUp will receive a three-year capital budget of R427 million.
As Ngobeni was delivering the City of Johannesburg Budget Speech for 2019/20 at the Metropolitan Centre, he said R2.5 billion operating expenditure will be used to improve cleanliness including installing underground bins.

Ngubeni also said Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo will receive R150 million multi-year capital budget and an operational budget of R1 billion. He added that R70 million has been made available for the establishment of the Public Safety Integrated Intelligence Operations Centre.
