Police open a docket of murder after a man was gunned down in Alexandra Township

ALEXANDRA – The detectives assigned to the case are hard at work hunting for the three suspects.

 


Police have launched a manhunt after a man was shot and killed in Alexandra.

According to the Alexandra Police Station spokesperson Captain Stephen Malatjie, the incident happened on 29 April 2019 at around 7pm on at the corner of Selbourne Street and 6th Avenue. He said, “A man aged 58 was attacked by three unknown suspects who shot him twice in the forehead and left without taking anything from him.”

It would seem that the deceased, who was selling at one of the stalls next to Pan Africa Mall, was on his way back from work when the perpetrators attacked him.

Malatjie said a docket of murder was opened while detectives assigned to the case were hard at work hunting for the three suspects.
