Escapee’s ‘luck’ runs out

ALEXANDRA – Re-nabbed escapee sentenced, awaits main trial.


A man who was awaiting trial for house robbery was sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment by the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court for escaping from lawful custody.

Lucky Teffo escaped from the holding cells at Bramley Police Station on the morning of 10 December last year before he and others were set to be taken to court for their various trials. He seemingly sneaked out and escaped. The police traced him to a place in Kew where he was rearrested a day later as he tried to flee.
