Educo offers free SETA accredited qualifications to unemployed Alex youth

ALEXANDRA– The company realised that there is no better way to empower individuals that need help than through education.

In their quest to help the country reduce the high rate of youth unemployment in the country, a South African education company, Educo has embarked on a campaign to help unemployed youth acquire the NQF Level 3 and Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) accredited qualifications for free.

The company has recently opened its doors as a free learning centre to unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 28 at Alexandra Plaza.

Chris Mcinga, chief operations officer at Educo, said their aim as an organisation was not only to provide qualification but also to ensure that graduates leave the centre well equipped with the necessary skills to be employable. “The company realised that there is no better way to empower individuals that need help than through education.

“That is why Educo Solutions through their corporate relationships has embarked on a programme to offer students who are dedicated and performing, the opportunity to learn and earn a subsidiary income through part-time work while studying.

“Not only is the learning centre focused on the NQF and SETA accredited courses, it is driven by ensuring that graduates leave the centre equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to become employable.”

Mcinga has called upon young people of Alexandra to grab the opportunity.

Those interested in the learning programme, can visit Educo Solutions Training Centre at No 51 3rd Street, Alex Plaza or contact Chris Mcinga at 076 525 8306.
