Brace yourselves, petrol price to increase by 74 cents for the month of March

Price of petrol increases for the month of March, affected by oil prices and toll fee increases.

Minister of Energy, Jeff Radebe has announced that petrol and diesel prices will increase on 6 March.

The price of petrol will increase by 74 cents, diesel by 92 cents and illuminating paraffin by 74 cents.

One of the main factors for the hike is the rise in oil prices internationally and toll fees increasing on 1 March nationwide.

Consumers are already burdened by continuous increases in the cost of living and the set hike will further add to this burden.

Petrol price did increase in the month of February but by only seven cents.
