Back then not having electricity was not a problem because we didn’t really rely on our smartphones, the tv or the latest x-box games. Pictionary
In some households, pictionary is often played using the tv but you can always put a spin on it by doing it the old school way. This means cutting out some pictures from your favourite magazines and making the family guess what the other person has in their hand by simply making sounds or acting out that particular thing.
House of Cards
Some of us used to play games to make some extra cash when we were kids with the whole neighbourhood. It was like a little tradition because it brought a lot of people together. You can also bring your family together by playing a variety of games using cards, these include crazy eight and a whole lot of others. This is sure to include even that strict father that rarely takes part even at family gatherings.
List of Things
This one will benefit the woman in charge of cleaning around the house. You can make a list of things that the little ones, especially the naughty ones who never clean up after themselves, can go around the house looking for. Nothing is off limits with this game, you can ask them to look for shoestrings, socks, spoons and much more. Have fun with this one and participate as well so it doesn’t look like you just want them to find things got lost ages ago while you are handing out instructions.
