Manhunt for Ext 10 woman’s killers

ALEXANDRA – Police search for murderers of Ext 10 woman

Alex Police Station is investigating the murder of a 40-year-old woman by suspects who fled the scene after shooting her.

Police spokesperson Captain Stephen Malatji said the incident occurred at about 9.45pm on 18 January at an Ext 10 home. The victim was with a male companion said to be a prominent member of Sanca who was allegedly involved in the evictions of undocumented residents in the area. She went to the door after hearing people asking for a ‘Madala’ from outside the house. When she opened the door and told them there was no one by that name inside, the suspects opened fire on her and fled the scene afterwards. A neighbour took the victim to a clinic where she was certified dead on arrival.
