A man from 20th Avenue, Alex charged with rape will forever remember the first hours of the year 2019.
Twenty-one-year-old Fiko Finini who wants to plead guilty was remanded in custody to 11 January by the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court. His tongue was partially bitten off by a 25-year-old victim of 21st Avenue who is known to him. The incident occurred at 3.10am on 1 January. The tongue which he showed in court to hushed remarks is forked, resembling that of a snake.
He is said to have followed the victim to her home from a distance from a drinking place where both of them saw in the New Year. When she opened the gate, he grabbed her from behind and they struggled as he chocked her. She identified him when she turned around. He tripped her and when she was on the ground, he forced down her pants and underwear. Before he could penetrate her, he tried to kiss her and she bit off his tongue forcing him to flee.
When she realised he had taken her cell phone, she followed him to his place and found him with a friend.
He was bleeding profusely from the mouth and crying.
He apologized as he gave back the phone. She left and reported the incident to the police at Alexandra Police Station and he was arrested on 3 January.
