This was after the owners association members held a meeting at the Roman Catholic Church in 2dn Avenue on Saturday, 29 September regarding their recent picketing at Luthuli House. “According to Peter Malinga, one of the association’s coordinators, the aim of the meeting was to give a feedback and give an update to their members about new developments on the matter of their title deeds.

“On 6 August 2018, some of us (members of Alpoa) went to stage a peaceful picketing at Luthuli House – the ruling party headquarters – to air our frustration about lack of progress in the matter of our title deeds which we have signed with government two years ago. We are here today to give a feedback to our members so that we keep them abreast of what is happening and agree on a way forward in this matter.”

The members and leadership of Alpoa agreed in the meeting that they will hold a mass march before December this year to a place that will be announced in due course by the association’s leadership. The meeting also agreed that the organisation will not be affiliated or work with any political party to fight this battle of title deeds.
