Residents of Tsutsumani happy with City’s response to their grievances

ALEXANDRA– City of Johannesburg to revamp three parks in Alexandra.

The City of Johannesburg will soon start revamping parks in Tsutsumani Ext 9 that have been turned into drug-smoking areas by vagrants.

This was after a resident of Cameroon Street complained to the City’s officials about the state of their parks. The fence was ripped off by vagrants and sold to scrap yards.

The news of revamping these parks was confirmed by DA PR councillor Shadrack Mkhonto on Wednesday evening, 5 September in a meeting he had with residents in Second Park. Mkhonto said the City has approved the budget to revamp First Park, Second Park and Children’s Park in Ext 9 Tsutsumani.

According to Mkhonto, “Residents have previously reported this issue and they say that nothing materialised of it. They say it is only now under this new administration that this issue has been taken up with the relevant department.”
