ALEXANDRA – Spirit high at Skeen primary after multi-purpose printer donation.

Skeen Primary School received an essential multi-function printer.

The donation from Linbro Park-based IT company Introstat cemented the relationship between the two and between the company and its employees after they were asked for suggestions on important needs in their areas. Employee and shareholder who lives in Tsutsumani, Lydia Shezi said the donation was part of the company’s giving back to the community.

“We are happy to be part of the community’s development and will also appreciate business development relationships with the community in the interest of our children’s education,” Shezi said.

Acknowledging the donation, learner Hope Modimela said the printer would enhance efficiency with staff no longer having to go elsewhere to get photocopies done.

“We will safeguard it for longevity,” added deputy principal Kate Makola.

According to Jacqui Baxter and Angela Naude of the company, the donation was a logical extension of its charitable work. “We donated a stocked movable book trolley to Nokuthula School of physically challenged pupils three years ago, participate in university and skills related development projects for youth, and contributed to the NPO Habitat for Humanity’s housing and vegetable gardening projects in Ivory Park and Soweto respectively,” Baxter said.

Naude said they also had donated a soccer kit to a township team.
