Growing up without biological parents left a void in the life of Aviwe Ndima, an upcoming hip-hop artist who got expelled from school and started using drugs to deal with his problems.
Ndima (23) from Alexandra, was born in Mthatha in the Eastern Cape. “I started doing music when I was in Grade 8 in 2009 with my fellow students Anele Ncithane and Sandiso Dali,” he said.

“In 2010, someone suggested to my aunt that my cousin and I be taken to a private school to do electrical engineering but when I got there I fell in love with hip-hop music. Because of my obsession with music, I failed my electrical engineering course and I was expelled from school.”
After that, Ndima became involved with the wrong type of friends and started doing crime. He was arrested after he stole cell phones from a local school.
In 2015, he left his hometown to move to Joburg to pursue his dream of becoming one of the greatest names in the South African music industry. However, things did not go as he planned when he arrived here.
He lived with his uncle in Soweto and was where he started drinking alcohol and experimenting with drugs such as cocaine and crystal myth, which forced his uncle to ask him to leave in 2016.

In 2017, he met Pastor Thapelo Moloi who introduced him to his church and helped him to record his first single, Spiritual War earlier this year.
“I met Pastor Moloi whom I regard as Good Samaritan late last year. He introduced me to God and helped me to record in his studio without paying a penny. I’ve just released my single called Spiritual War and its video which is available online and I am currently working on my album which will be released in December this year.”
