Standard Fifa laws of the game shall apply in this year’s SCZ School Tournament

ALEXANDRA – The tournament knockout stages commenced on 1 August with the final and third-place matches to be played on 15 September.

The Sbusiso Cosmos Zwane Schools Tournament is underway.

The tournament knockout stages commenced on 1 August with the final and third-place matches to be played on 15 September.

Speaking at the launch of the tournament on 30 July, local organising committee chairperson Percy Ndaba had warned about the consequences of rule-breaking such as teams selecting players that were not from the participating schools.

“We would like to appeal to all participating schools in both soccer and netball to adhere and stick to the rules of the tournament. Late arrival and postponements will not be tolerated,” he said

“We also call upon all community members and parents to come in numbers in support of their children.”

Tournament sponsors City of Johannesburg, Grandioso Restaurant, Pick n Pay and Alex Mall Romans Pizza lauded former Jomo Cosmos player Sbusiso Zwane for giving back to the community and committed themselves to rally behind him throughout the tournament.
