DJ Mo Flava hosts Play Your Heart Out soccer tournament to raise funds

ALEXANDRA – Metro FM Afternoon Drive Show presenter hosts a soccer tournament to help the needy.

 

A well-known South African TV and radio personality visited Alex to raise funds for a local orphanage.

The Metro FM Afternoon Drive Show presenter, Moeti Tsiki, famously known as DJ Mo Flava in collaboration with Establishment Entertainment, hosted 5-a-side soccer tournament on Saturday 14 July.

Scores of community members including television and soccer stars descended on Alex Mall to show their support of the PlayUrHeart 5-a-side soccer tournament which was aimed at raising funds for Tsutsumani-based orphanage, Ratang Bana.

Tsiki said the challenge was inspired by his love for people, and in particular, the underprivileged. “I’ve been involved in social projects with Soweto communities for years now. This time I decided that I will go beyond the borders of Soweto. The project was inspired by my love for people, especially the needy,” he said

According to Tsiki, all money raised from the tournament will be donated to Ratang Bana Orphanage Home.

A total of six teams with a maximum of nine players participated in the tournament with a joining fee of R900 for each team. Black Panther FC, Establishment FC, Kora FC, Mcaravane FC, Mogodumo FC and Rocka Fela FC were the teams that participated in the tournament.

It was DJ Mo Flava’s Black Panther FC from Soweto that finally engraved its name on a giant trophy with a narrow 3–2 win after beating the host team, Establishment FC.
