We’re on the hunt for an online journalist

Do you know what’s trending on Twitter at almost every moment of the day?

Do you get FOMO when you’re offline for too long?

The Caxton Joburg North branch is on the hunt for an online journalist to produce online content for our nine websites.

The applicant must:

• Have a tertiary qualification in journalism, media studies or communication science
• Have a keen interest in news, entertainment, sport and know what is trending on social media
• Have a keen interest in Joburg’s northern suburbs and community journalism
• Be able to liaise with a team, follow direction and work individually
• Be organised
• Be able to generate story ideas and follow them through
• Be computer literate and have a keen interest in producing digital content including videos, photos and social media
• Have experience in writing online content
• Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary
