Wits extends registration deadline

ALEXANDRA – Wits extends course lifeline to Alex youth.

Wits University has extended the deadline for Alex youth, who missed out on registering for its three courses, to 29 April from 9am.

Others rushed to register on 20 April at Vantage Point at the intersection of Richard Baloyi and 4th avenues as reported in Alex News, Youth grab Wits course opportunities quickly, Week ending 27 April.

The opportunity for unemployed post-matric and graduate youth will provide them with work-readiness skills and knowledge through three courses accredited by the institution and the South African Council of Higher Education and are pegged at levels five, six and seven.

The organiser, councillor Shadrack Mkhonto, said they will register at the same venue and the date is the final deadline to ensure the selection of the total number of 120 suitable candidates. “The courses will be conducted in two classes per level,” Mkhonto said also inviting those who have registered to attend as there will be motivational speakers and life skills coaching.

Successful and unsuccessful candidates will be informed of the outcome by the institution before the courses commence in May.
