Trouble for sexual molester accused

ALEXANDRA – Married man faces sexual assault charge.

A married man is in trouble with the law for alleged failure to restrain his hands.

The elderly-looking suspect, who is out on bail for sexual assault committed on a female married neighbour earlier this year, had his bail conditions reviewed by the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court.

He allegedly touched the victim’s buttocks and breasts at a housing complex in Noordwyk in Midrand where both of them live. The victim pressed charges and he was initially granted bail with the condition that he does not interfere with her and witnesses. Later, the victim felt vulnerable with him still around and lodged an appeal leading Magistrate Renier Boshoff to review the conditions on 13 March.

He ruled that the suspect should not interfere directly or indirectly with her and witnesses and that he should not be seen 500 metres near the victim’s home. The case will be next heard on 20 March.
