Bramley police arrest two men allegedly linked to USave robbery

JOBURG – Bramley police have made a breakthrough in the business robbery case which took place at Usave.

Bramley police in conjunction with Johannesburg North Cluster detectives arrested two suspects who have been on the run from the police after allegedly robbing Usave supermarket in Marlboro.

The business robbery occurred in December last year.

According to the spokesperson for Bramley Police Station, Captain Molefe Mogodi, it is alleged that the group of robbers who were armed, entered the store, threatened the employees and robbed them of an undisclosed amount of money and other items.

Police were called to the scene and the case was assigned to Bramley detectives who began their investigation.

The investigation then led the detectives to a place called Bohlabela in Alexandra.

There, police officers found and arrested a man for the alleged Usave robbery crime. The police seized an unlicensed firearm and ammunition during the arrest.

Police officers then proceeded to Cosmo City where they found the other suspect who was in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. The suspect was also arrested and the firearm and ammunition were seized.

Both suspects will appear in court soon.

Bramley police urge citizens to report all acts of crime to the police. “We have mandate to serve and protect our community. We welcome any tip-off that can assist us in bringing to book those who act against the laws of our country,” Mogodi said.
