Man allegedly insults lover and her mother in Alex

ALEXANDRA – Husband allegedly burns wife's bed and insults her mother.

 

A suspect who allegedly caused malicious damage to his wife’s property is facing additional crimen injuria charges for allegedly insulting his lover and her mother.

Spokesperson for Alexandra Police Station, Captain Allie Kodisang said the suspect under investigation, allegedly called the victim cuss words and broke the sliding door of her house.

It is alleged that the suspect went to her residence in Ext 10 at 3pm on 11 November and requested food.

When she told him that it was not ready, he left. When he returned, she gave him the food but he refused preferring to eat what he had bought.

He further insulted her and her mother and allegedly accused her for wanting to get him arrested through a rape charge so she could own the house.

A police officer investigating the alleged rape case was called to the house and told the suspect not to come to the residence until the case was concluded.

He left but returned in the evening the following day and asked to have a bath.

The victim refused to open for him and he allegedly broke the sliding door, entered the house and burned a bed and mattress while accusing her of opening the rape case while she was his wife.

The damage caused was estimated at R1 500.

It was not specified if she had a protection order against him.
