A suspected fraudster’s nervousness leads to his arrest.
Alex police spokesperson Captain Allie Kodisang said a suspect, under investigation, went into the Jet Mart shop at the Alex Plaza at 5pm on 13 October.
After gathering items worth R5 780, he approached the till and handed a female cashier a credit card as a means of payment. The cashier looked at him and when she noticed that he was nervous, she handed the card and his particulars to her manager for confirmation. At that moment, the suspect bolted but was arrested by security at the entrance.
