Zuma’s latest cabinet reshuffle critiqued on Twitter in true South African style

JOBURG – "Everyday I'm shuffling".

The President of South Africa has yet again reshuffled his cabinet. This one comes less than seven months after the infamous reshuffle that removed Pravin Gordhan as Minister of Finance while promoting Fikile Mbalula to Minister of Police.
Here are the changes brought along by this reshuffle: 

  • Bongani Thomas Bongo has replaced David Mahlobo as the Minister of State Security.
  • David Mahlobo has replaced Mmamoloko Kubayi as the Minister of Energy.
  • Mmamaloko Kubayi has replaced Ayanda Dlodlo as the Minister of Communications.
  • Ayanda Dlodlo has replaced Hlengiwe Mkhize as the Minister of Home Affairs.
  • Hlengiwe Mkhize has replaced Blade Nzimande as the Minister of Higher Education and Training.

Buti Manamela has replaced Mduduzi Manana, who resigned after assaulting a woman in a nightclub, as the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Training.
