Woman investigated for allegedly beating another

ALEXANDRA – Woman in room of another's lover allegedly receives beating.

 

A woman is under investigation by Alex police for allegedly causing grievous bodily harm on another woman she found at her boyfriend’s residence in Ext 7 at 6pm on 1 October.

Spokesperson for Alex Police Station, Captain Allie Kodisang said the suspect did not take it kindly when she found the victim, presumed to be a friend to the boyfriend, in the house.

After the victim opened the door for her, the suspect shut and locked the wooden and steel security doors quickly and without saying a word, picked up an electric cord and allegedly assaulted the victim with it over the body. She then allegedly bit the victim with her teeth and smashed her cellphone on the floor. The victim sustained severe injuries and was taken to Edenvale Hospital for treatment.

It was not specified who took the victim to the hospital.
