Top muso faces gun-related charge

ALEXANDRA – Music director in court for allegedly discharging firearm.

A local musician, writer and theatre director recently appeared in Alex Magistrates’ Court where he was granted R1 000 bail for the alleged negligent discharge of a firearm.

The case was postponed to 17 October when representation from his legal team will be heard.

Patrolling security guards reacted to shots fired from the suspect’s residence in Gallo Man and after arriving at the house, arrested the suspect.

It is alleged that four shots were fired in the presence of his family members and a friend. He claimed the shots were a warning to scare away intruders who were trying to get into the residence. It is said that at one point his wife had to hide behind a tree when some of the shots seemed to come in her direction.

Details: 10111.
