An Alex man who was reported in Alex News of 11 August as having risen from the dead, is getting reintegrated into society and residents known to him have accepted the mistaken burial of someone else, at Waterval cemetery in July.

A case of mistaken identity led to Lunga Poo’s family – who asked for his pictures not to be taken – incurring costs to bury someone leaving the matter now in the hands of the police to resolve. This was after he pitched up at Realogile, his former secondary school to get an educational testimonial, requested by a prospective employer.
Lunga, who disappeared from home in September last year, disclosed that the work opportunity arose when he was living in the Turfontein area. Seemingly, pupils who knew of his ‘death’ scattered when they saw him. His family were also dumbfounded after being called to the school took him to report the matter to the Alex police and later, to the community, which has now welcomed him back.
