Schoolchildren loose tablets in Alex, police investigate

ALEXANDRA – School tablets stolen from at school and home.

 

Two schoolchildren had their school-issued tablets at allegedly stolen.

Spokesperson for Alex Police Station, Captain Allie Kodisang said the police are investigating the incidents.

The first of which occurred at noon on 19 June at an unspecified school as the victim was about to write an exam. He claimed to have left the tablet worth R5 000 in a schoolbag in the classroom with other children while going to the toilet.

On his return, the tablet was missing from the bag and the classmates claimed not to have seen anything. He searched their bags and found nothing.

The next day at 3.30pm another schoolchild also of an unspecified school, lost a school tablet he left plugged onto a charger in his house when he went to play soccer with a neighbour. He left the windows closed and the door locked. He returned at 7pm and found his grandmother at the residence but the tablet was allegedly missing.
