A female motorist was stopped in Eastbank by three suspects who allegedly stole the canopy of her bakkie.
Spokesperson for Alex Police Station, Captain Allie Kodisang said the police are investigating the incident which occurred on Lenin Drive at 3pm on 9 May.
The victim was allegedly overtaken and blocked from the front by the suspects who were also driving a bakkie.
The suspects then allegedly unscrewed the canopy from the victim’s vehicle, loaded it onto their bakkie and drove away.
It was not specified if the vehicles were of similar make and model.
