MUST READ: Disabled mother seeks protection from Alex Police because she is afraid of her son who allegedly beat and threatened her

ALEXANDRA - Disabled mother seeks protection after son's alleged death threats.

A disabled woman who is afraid of her son pressed assault charges against him and also sought protection from the Alex Police as he had allegedly threatened to kill her.

The police are still investigating the case and no arrests have been made.

Police spokesperson Captain Allie Kodisang said the incident occurred at the woman’s Alexandra home on 3 March. The suspect asked for bread which wasn’t there and instead the partially paralysed mother gave him two rolls which he refused to take.

He then opened the fridge and when she told him not to, he lashed out and allegedly hit her twice in the face. He shouted at her and then allegedly threatened to kill her, saying that she couldn’t do anything because she was disabled.

He poured cold water on her and allegedly beat and pushed her head, causing her pain due to recent head surgery. She was unable to protect herself.
