Body picked up in front of Alexandra Magistrates’ Court, police investigate case

ALEXANDRA – Body with head wound collected in front of court.

 

An alleged murder victim’s body was collected by the Provincial Government’s mortuary crew from in front of the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court at midnight on 17 April.

Spokesperson for Alexandra Police Station, Captain Allie Kodisang said the body, which had a deep wound on the head and abrasions on the skin, was identified as that of Bonginkosi Kambule.

Kodisang said preliminary investigations pointed to stoning as the probable cause of death.

Police are investigating the matter and asked community members or witnesses to come forward with any information.
