ALEXANDRA - Woman recovers stolen handbag from robbers apprehended by residents.

Police spokesperson Captain Allie Kodisang said the incident occurred at about 8.45am on 30 March when the victim was walking along Vincent Tshabalala Road to the Alex Mall with a friend. She had a handbag with her.

Two suspects, one armed with a gun, confronted them and allegedly demanded the bag which contained a passport, two cellphones, a tablet and a purse, all to the value of R2 000.
