A suspect was recently arrested for the rape of a woman who he allegedly dragged into his shack.
The incident happened at 4.30pm on 24 February.
Alexandra Police Station’s spokesperson, Lieutenant Allie Kodisang explained that the victim said she was walking home through a passage on 8th Avenue when the suspect, who is known to the victim, called her.

When the victim did not stop, the suspect allegedly threatened her. The victim walked to the suspect, who allegedly dragged her into his shack. She reported that he locked the door and told her not to scream or he would kill her.
He allegedly raped her repeatedly without a condom and continued to threaten her when she tried to scream.
The victim reported the incident at the police station, leading to the suspect’s arrest.
