Blesser’s relationship goes sour

ALEXANDRA – Blesser and lover's tiff plays out in court amid a protection order.

A woman was granted a protection order in a case being heard in the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court between her and her lover (blesser) who she accused of domestic violence.

The relationship bore the couple a child. The woman further alleged that the man’s wife was also threatening her, charges which the man denied in court.

The two were in a nine-year relationship in which the man alleged he secured a steady job for the complainant, bought her a BMW and an apartment. He insisted he was supporting their child through school and showered her with other material benefits.

She claimed that his abuse prompted her to take out a protection order but he denied the allegations saying her actions were a ploy to get rid of him. He claimed she changed the locks to the place he bought for her to keep him out and pretended to be out of town when he tried to visit her.

He further claimed she also sent statements of her private accounts to his home which were seen by his wife, yet all the things he bought for her were paid for in cash. He insisted that she could move on with her life and retain the material possessions he bought for her. He said he wanted to continue to support their child.

Judgement was reserved for 1 March.
