Woman stabbed over boyfriend

ALEXANDRA – Female suspect stabs woman over boyfriend.

A female resident of 1st Avenue is nursing her wounds after allegedly being stabbed by another woman who accused her of snatching her boyfriend.

The incident occurred at the victim’s home at 3.30pm on 24 October. According to Alexandra Police Station spokesperson Captain Allie Kodisang, the suspect came to the home and asked to talk to the victim outside. The suspect then accused the victim of having an affair with her boyfriend, who was mentioned by name.

The victim denied having a relationship with the boyfriend, claiming that her job entailed working with many clients. Despite the denial, the suspect allegedly pulled the victim’s hair, took out a knife and allegedly stabbed her several times in the shoulder and face.

Neighbours intervened and rescued the victim and took her to the Alexandra Clinic for treatment.

Police are investigating the matter.
