Taxi rank washer stabbed by guard

ALEXANDRA – Security guard at taxi rank stabs washer in the head.

A taxi rank security guard is under investigation by the Alex police for allegedly causing grievous bodily harm to a car washer.

According to Alex police spokesperson, Captain Allie Kodisang, the incident occurred at about 5pm on 22 November at the Pan Africa Mall taxi rank.

The complainant, who washes taxis, was approached by the security guard who told him that he didn’t want to see him at the rank anymore. The guard then allegedly slashed the victim’s plastic bucket with a knife. The victim didn’t respond and instead went and sat somewhere nearby. After a while, the guard went to the where the victim was sitting and without uttering a word, allegedly stabbed him in the head. It wasn’t specified if the victim sought medical treatment or if there was any arrest.
