Taxi driver allegedly damages woman’s car over parking

ALEXANDRA – Woman lays charge against taxi driver.

A taxi driver is under investigation for malicious damage to property after he allegedly used an object to scratch a female complainant’s motor vehicle.

The incident, confirmed by police spokesperson Captain Allie Kodisang, occurred at about 9.30pm on 16 November at the 27-year-old complainant’s 5th Avenue home.

It is alleged that after parking her motor vehicle, the suspect, in a Toyota Quantum, arrived and told her to move the vehicle from the parking spot but she refused, saying it wasn’t designated to anyone.

When she returned a while later, there was a scratch on her vehicle’s bonnet. The total cost of the damage was estimated at R500.
