Kweza explained that the security guard was employed privately by the owner of the residence and that both the property where the incident took place and the guards have nothing to do with the University of Johannesburg. “However, the owner is working with the police to look for the suspect.”

‘This statement serves to notify that the security officer at the stated residential address is not employed by Fidelity Security Group. There is no record of us posting an officer within that area or that a firearm was issued to an officer working at that address,’ read Fidelity Security Group statement.
