Migrant businessman assaulted by partner

ALEXANDRA – Neighbours rescue migrant business owner from assault by partner.

A migrant businessman reported a case of assault against his business partner with the Alexandra police who are investigating.

The two live together on the business premises on 6th Avenue. Alex police spokesperson Captain, Allie Kodisang said the incident happened at about 10.30pm on 18 September after the complainant had asked his partner about R80 which was missing from the day’s collection. In response, the partner became angry and allegedly assaulted the complainant, causing his nose to bleed.

Neighbours who heard the commotion forced open the door of the business and separated the two before taking the victim to the Alexandra Clinic for treatment. The suspect allegedly threatened to kill the complainant as he was beating him.
