Suspect faces charges for assaulting ex-lover

ALEXANDRA – Man assaults and undresses ex-lover in public and will soon appear in court for his unlawful actions.

Alex police officers arrested a suspect who will appear in court soon for allegedly assaulting his 37-year-old ex-girlfriend of 3rd Avenue.

According to the spokesperson for Alex Police Station, Captain Allie Kodisang, the victim was walking with a friend at about 5pm on 12 October when they encountered the suspect who allegedly swore at the victim and ordered her to go with him.

The victim refused and managed to run away, but the suspect chased and caught her. They then argued and the suspect allegedly assaulted and hit the victim with an unspecified object on the forehead causing her face to swell.

He then allegedly undressed her in public before letting her go. The friend took the victim to Alex Clinic for treatment.
