Police investigate double rape

ALEXANDRA – Police investigate a man for double rape at his home.

Alexandra police officers are investigating the alleged rape of a 17-year-old girl and her friend of an unknown age by a man they visited on 18th Avenue in Alexandra.

Spokesperson for Alex Police Station, Captain Allie Kodisang said the incident occurred on 17 September. He said at about 7pm, the victim from 20th Avenue and her friends left her home for a party at a local tavern.

When they felt bored at the tavern, they went to the suspect’s home with two of his friends where they continued to drink alcohol.

The girls became tired and were offered a bed to sleep in. Later, the suspect allegedly ordered everyone to have sex. The suspect is said to have ordered the victim to undress and allegedly raped her without a condom while the other two couples pretended to have sex.

After the suspect had finished, he allegedly raped one of the other girls. This gave the victim and the third girl a chance to escape. The victim claimed that the suspect was known to take drugs and threatened to assault her with a beer bottle when he raped her. She reported to incident to the Alex police.

A police did not reveal if the suspect has been arrested.
